Software Engineering Society was born 28th April 2004, when it was officially registered as the student’s organization. However the idea of such organization was in our minds since the year 2003, when the group of students and their tutor – Ph.D. Lech Madeyski – decided to create the society, which would allow them to develop their interests and enable further cooperation during the software engineering research. This initiative was brought into life in less than a year time.

The first SEnS meeting took place in the 28th April 2004. Among the SEnS founders group were following SEnS members:

  • Mikołaj Machowczyk
  • Grzegorz Mąkosa
  • Jacek Owocki
  • Mariusz Sadal
  • Michał Stanek
  • Michał Stochmiałek

During the meeting was invented the full and the shorten organization name – Software Engineering Society (SEnS). The meeting ended with the elections of SEnS authorities. The president of SEnS was chosen Michał Stochmiałek, the vice-president was chosen Michał Stanek.

Ten years after society was registered, due to heavy workload, doctor Lech Madeyski decided to resign from supervisor role.
As new society supervisor, Wojciech Thomas, Ph.D., was chosen.

Since the first SEnS meeting, organization continuously work on many projects and student activities.
